2021.10.20 00:14 Comfortable_Ad5802 I feel like blocking someone just because you don't want to talk to them is an overreaction.
I mean I know there are good reasons to block someone but if you don't feel like talking to them just ignore them. Now if they are sending inappropriate messages to you, and asking creepy questions then yeah blocking is the most logical thing to do. But if there being appropriate and just wanting to get to know you and starting up conversations then you can just not respond or leave them on read then they will (probably) stop and take the hint. Because when you block someone for that it's like your afraid of confrontation, you can get someone to stop messaging you without blocking them, for the most part. I don't have alot of people messaging me so I could be wrong but in my experience it just seems like the easy way out so I'm not sure if people agree but that's how I feel about those situations.

2021.10.20 00:14 Apendigo80 I need help. Leaguesafe league makes me very suspicious and uneasy. Just an explanation and a few questions below.
I joined a league through Reddit at the start of the season. Seemingly nice person. Invited me to a buy-in league because I was looking for one. He sends me a leaguesafe link and I join. Apparently, he knows most of the people in the league. I start off thankful to be in it.
6 of 10 players paid up at this point in the season, including myself. The deadline has been delayed indefinitely. The four teams that have not paid are not paying attention to their teams. Players on IR are on their starting lineups. I have reason to believe none of them intend to pay up.
I tried to contact the commissioner and customer support at leaguesafe. The former tells me it’s his brothers that just can’t pay right now but not to worry. The latter tells me the commissioner is not allowing refunds. So I am seemingly out of luck there.
I no longer trust the situation and am looking for any way to prevent being scammed.
I feel like once they guarantee a winning season, the money will show up. And if I have the winning season, all the money will be refunded because not everyone paid.
I am hoping someone here can explain that I’m just being paranoid and/or provide me a way to get my money back.

Humans are Weird: We Took A Vote BOOK 2 | Indiegogo Humans are Weird – Braid - Audio Narration and Animatic “Have you observed the new human yet?” Flipsalong demanded as she rounded the corner of the flow way.
“Nice to brush against you too,” Twistunder replied.
Flipsalong gave a full body shimmy of embarrassment and made a show of trying to droop her gripping appendages in apology.
“No,” Twistunder finally said, taking pity on the eager young university student. “I have not seen our new guest yet.”
“She has extra appendages!” Flipsalong declared.
“The ambassador is deformed?” Twistunder asked in shock.
“I don’t think so,” Flipsalong said. “It is a perfectly healthy looking appendage. Or it might be three held in a twine for transport. I am not sure.”
Some dim memory of a conversation with one of his ranger friends bubbled up in Twistunder’s awareness. “And where on her body is this extra appendage?”
“It comes off the back of her…” Flipsalong paused and trembled as she visibly tried to think of the term. “You know, the primary sensory end. With the organs.”
“Ah,” Twistunder nodded as it started to loosen in his thoughts. “Off the back of her head. And is the detached end constrained by a cloth band?”
“Yes!” Flipsalong declared. “Do you know what the appendage is?”
“I am not sure it is an appendage exactly,” Twistunder said slowly.
“Oh,” Flipsalong drooped in disappointment. “Just an ornamental attachment then?”
“No, no,” Twistunder said. “You probe… you have only touched rangers and university professors yet, I assume?”
“That is correct,” Flipsalong said. “How does that connect?”
“Rangers,” Twistunder said, “follow a strict policy of grooming. As do most researchers who expect to be in an environmental suit. They keep their mammalian fur at a regulation length that will not interfere with the fit of an air tight helmet.”
“That is well known,” Flipsalong agreed, “but how does it connect?”
“Human fur has no standard growth length,” Twistunder explained. “It continues to lengthen until it reaches each individual’s genetic maximum. That is why humans are so strict about their length regulations.”
“Wait?” Flipsalong raised a gripping appendage in shock. “You mean that massive appendage is just a compressed mass of sensory tendrils?”
“It isn’t painful… I assure you,” Twistunder said, reading the horror in the set of her appendages. “Human fur has no live nerves once past the membrane.”
“So it serves no sensory purpose?” Flipsalong asked.
“A very limited one at best.”
“Does it offer greater radiation or thermal regulation than the standard ranger length?”
“I do not believe so,” Twistunder replied.
Flipsalong curled into what the humans called a thinking loaf and pondered this. “Then why would a human maintain such a mass of useless tendrils?” Flipsalong demanded.
“Perhaps we should ask the ambassador,” Twistunder offered. “Though you might want to rephrase that question in the interest of diplomacy.”

2021.10.20 00:14 Itsboomhomie Penny Stock Unusual Option Activity 10/19
Major indexes continued to rise on the back of relatively strong third-quarter earnings reports. The S&P 500 Index ETF (SPY) and tech-heavy Nasdaq-100 ETF (QQQ) led the way higher, each adding 0.8%. The Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) rose 0.4%, and the benchmark Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA) gained 0.5%. Both DIA and SPY currently sit less than 1% from fresh highs.
While earnings have been largely positive so far, most of the big-name companies have yet to report, and those that have are in industries that are perhaps less affected by supply chain bottlenecks, rising fuel costs, and inflationary concerns. Better-then-expected earnings could still provide downward moves if the wider market issues have more of an effect on bottom lines than forecast, or if future guidance is lowered. However, it appears markets have been resilient toward a pullback.
After a period of consolidation at the beginning of the month, it appears major averages are beginning to establish a new uptrend, perhaps forecasting a continued move to the upside for SPY and QQQ. Chart watchers will want to observe the price action in these indexes when the larger-weighted stocks begin to report earnings later this month. If traders don't sell down after earnings reports, it could suggest that the upward trend will continue through the fourth-quarter.
Netflix (NFLX) is down 1% in after hours trading after beating on earnings per share and global paid net subscriber additions expectations. NFLX has been on quite the run, adding 20% in the last 3 months, so it will be interesting to see how investors react once the market opens tomorrow. Tesla (TSLA) gets us started with the big big boys, reporting earnings tomorrow after the closing bell.
I'm continuing my earnings-based iron condors, taking a win today or Phillip Morris (PM). Opened positions today on Las Vegas Sands (LSV) and Comerican (CMA). I think I've mentioned this before, but my strategy here is to open iron condors with wings wider than the implied move based on the options straddle. The goal is to profit from volatility crush. I'm 6 of 7 so far, with the lone loss coming from Schwab (SCHW), which tested the upper strike of my IC. If I can develop a solid system from this, I will gladly share it.
Obligatory: these are not stock recommendations, this does not constitute financial advice - if you need that kind of advice contact your broker, I'm just analyzing unusual option data, (so if you don't see your favorite stonk, don't take it personally) please do you own DD, etc. etc. etc.
I pull my data from a premium Market Chameleon account. News I generally get from Finviz, but I also check Google. For economic reports, my go to is ForexFactory. Unusual option activity is defined as options that see at least 1.4x the average option activity by volume.

2021.10.20 00:14 cchm2021 Reasonable Amount of Breaks/Downtime for Nannies?
Hello. I have a 2yo who has had the same nanny since she was a few months old. First and foremost, I would like to state that my 2yo absolutely loves this nanny and they play well together. While their positive interaction is the most important aspect of our employment relationship, I can’t help but feel a bit underwhelmed by her performance in the other aspects of being a nanny (namely tidying up and time management).
I completely understand that nannies need breaks and downtime - there is no debate there. But here is my scenario: My partner and I both work from home because of COVID. Our nanny has over 20 years of experience. She works from 8:00-4:00 Monday-Thursday. Mid-morning, she takes a 20-30 minute breakfast break and watches our 2yo from the kitchen as she plays by herself in the living room. The nanny chooses to eat lunch together with my 2yo, so there is no true break for her there. She typically puts 2yo down for her nap at 1:00. Regardless of whether she falls asleep or not, the nanny chooses to stay in the guest room until at least 3:00 (napping, scrolling on her phone, etc.). This is especially bothersome when my 2yo is hollering and banging on her crib an hour after being put down, and it’s so painfully obvious that she’s not going to fall asleep at this point. We’ve brought this up to the nanny on multiple occasions, and she says that children need quiet time. I agree with her, if it is time that the kid is actually calm but awake, but not if she’s yelling and making so much noise (perhaps she has soiled her diaper, or perhaps she just doesn’t want to sleep). There are also some days where my 2yo will actually sleep until past 4:00, in which case the nanny gets 3 hours straight of downtime. During the downtime, she is not doing any actual work, and I know this because she stays in the guest room the whole time. I feel like she should be at least cleaning up the play area and perhaps doing meal prep (which she currently does while my 2yo is playing by herself) during part of this downtime. This is the time management issue that I mentioned earlier; she should be engaged with my 2yo when she is awake.
So my question is: Does having 2.5-3.5 hours of break/downtime in an 8-hour workday when no actual work is being done seem excessive, or is this normal? Perhaps it’s because my partner and I are both working from home and see so much more than a typical household employer would, and it’s just bothering us more than it should. It just feels like if we’re paying someone an hourly rate, 30-40% of that time shouldn’t be paid for breaks and resting.
Please note that we are first-time parents. I feel like a lot of the time, we are questioning ourselves about whether or not we’re overreacting, especially if we have a nanny that has so much work experience and has had rave reviews from previous employers.
Thank you in advance for any input anyone can give.

I’m working outside and with metal so I need a good pair! Also if anyone has recommendations on a good quality bib/ coveralls that are thick thighs friendly and aren’t going to wear in the thighs a month into wearing them!
